Universities as Catalysts of Green Innovation and Entrepreneurship for Young Innovators
In celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week, Fakulteti i Ekonomisë, Universiteti i Tiranës organized an insightful roundtable discussion centered around the theme “University as a Promoter of Entrepreneurship Among Young People”. The event brought together a wide range of stakeholders, including public institutions, international development partners such as the World Bank and AADF, as well as academics, business leaders, and students. The goal was to explore how universities can actively contribute to the development of entrepreneurial skills among youth and support the growth of innovative businesses.
A key highlight of the event was the presentation of the Sustainable Living Labs for Regional Entrepreneurial Cooperation (GreenWB) project, which played a central role in demonstrating how universities can engage students in projects that promote sustainable entrepreneurship. The green projects inclusion in the roundtable emphasized the growing need to integrate students into the implementation of green and sustainable initiatives, encouraging them to take an active role in addressing the challenges of the modern labor market through innovation.
The Faculty of Economy, UT has organized a series of student-focused activities aimed at raising awareness of the importance of academic engagement in green innovation and sustainable economic development and several workshops in this field.
